Gotta love the villains' themes for being just that, and judging by what Wikipedia says and the FF7 entry in an article about "5 most surprising videogame plot twists," Sephiroth seems to have quite a reputation. Someone even gave him a YouTube tribute to the song "When You're Evil" by Voltaire.

It wasn't too repetitive for me--sounded like something I could dance to if I had more space to move. Overall I liked it.
Author's Response:
Thanx :D
I thought it was repetitive because i greatly overused the main piano chords, but, yea :|
Thankyou for the reveiw :D

"You know, I think this song is improperly titled."
"A Lost Dream"? It sounds way too celebratory for a title like that.
In fact, I was thinking of some town's myrrh festival in the GameCube game Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. But I can't think exactly which town it might be--maybe it's Marr's Pass or Alfitaria (with the warlike shouts of the Lilty people) or even Leuda (the melody actually sounds Celtic to me, which makes me think of the Selkie people). Or maybe it's not from a myrrh festival, but a different kind of celebration in that realm altogether?
Author's Response:
You're right, the title without a background story loses it's flavor. I'll try to keep it brief for you, as it can be written as a rather long story. This song was formed for an animation as detailed in the description, and this animation is about a very ornamented samurai armor gift the Japanese people created and gave to the Sultan of Turkey during the Ottoman period.
The story of this animation revolves around this armor, and the journey of one man to find it. So the song moreso then the actual title, encompasses the lost gift itself. The hopes, the essence, the very spirit of the people it came from. The Turkish styles are infused to speak of the Turkish man's journey to find this lost gift.
There is a lot of symbolic work in the song, I will say no further to taint it no further :D! Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

"Somehow it reminds me of Conall Curach..."
This is a really sad song--it brings to mind Conall Curach from Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. That's the place dubbed "the marsh of dead dreams" by fanfiction writers who favor the race of Selkies, like myself. As the story goes, in the time of war in the realm the Selkies were driven from their homes and built bridges over Conall Curach as they searched there for a new haven--but didn't find a home there. Nope, not until they reached Leuda, far out to sea. This song makes me think of the eternal sadness of that forsaken marsh.

I SO wish I could make my own RPG with a dusty old desert town to go with this piece.

Ever play Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles? Leuda is a port on the Lynari Isle, home to most of the Selkie people in that realm.
Anyhow, I digress. I like this tune--what else can I say?
Author's Response:
Sure have. It reminds me of that too now that you mention it.
Thanks for the nice review!

Beautiful. Then again, music from Final Fantasy games does tend to be lovely to begin with.
Maybe you could try some for Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles (the only FF game I've ever actually played, but one of my all-time fave games in general).
Author's Response:
ive never played crystal chronicles, so I wouldnt be able to relate to the music on a gameplaying level..
thanks for the review though!
